Back by popular demand!!! The club will be airing the LSU VS Oklahoma Super Regional baseball games this weekend in HIGH DEFINITION for the enjoyment and camaraderie of the members.The first game will be on Friday night in conjunction with our traditional Bar-b-Que. Come on out and enjoy a hamburger, chicken sandwich or dare I say, “hot dog and baseball” (someone needs to bring the apple pie)!! This game will start at 6 PM.
The second game will be Saturday, also at 6 PM.
The third game, if necessary, (it should not be….. GO TIGERS)…. will be on Sunday at 6 PM as well.

It’s been a long winter and we can’t wait ’til this Friday night, May 24th, for the long anticipated opening of our summer season!!! This will be our first Friday night bar-b-que of 2013 and the new board members will be hosting. We have worked hard to get the club ready and hope everyone is as pleased and excited as we are to move on with fresh attitudes and vigor!! Please come out and take a dip in the pool, share dinner with us, and meet YOUR new board! Saturday, May 25th will be SPLASH DAY! Please bring your friends and neighbors and help us talk up our club. We are in need of new members and this is the perfect day, and way, to get new memberships. Everyone will be invited in at no charge, for this day only, to swim, play, and get information! We will have games for the kids, the board will again be at the pit cooking up our world famous cuisine, and there may even be a few “adult beverages” for your enjoyment if you so choose! Please come out and make sure you introduce yourself to all the board members so that we know who you are!
This Saturday, April 27th, we will be having our annual workday to prepare the club for opening. We need all the help we can get to clean up inside and outside the club. Please consider coming out, for an hour, two, or more if you can! The club is in need of many minor cleaning and fixing items and the more help we have the quicker it can all be accomplished!
This Sunday, May 19 Driftwood Park Country Club will be hosting our annual Opening Crawfish Cookoff!!! Please come out and enjoy the festivities!!! We will be running from 2 – 6 PM. $20.00 per person will get you all the crawfish you care to eat. We will of course be selling beer and soft drinks. We will also have hot dogs for the kids and non-crawfish eaters. Bring friends and neighbors, as this is also a good time to be showing off YOUR club!!!!Cost will be $10 for members and $15 for non-members!! Bring family, friends, neighbors. All are invited. Bring a covered dish, as we’ll have dinner first, starting at 7PM with the games rolling as soon as we finish eating! The club will be selling soft drinks, beer, and wine. Bring your own spirits if that is more to your liking, but come on out and win, win, win!!!!
If you have a portable card table, please bring that too! Not sure how many participants we’ll have but want to make sure we have seats for everyone who wants to play!
Driftwood Park Country Club will be holding a Lenten Fish Fry this Friday, February 22, 2013. For only $8.00 per plate, we will be serving fried fish, potato salad, and cole slaw. We will also have various sweets for sale to complete out your meal!
Serving will start at 6 PM. Dine in or take out, your choice, but we will do the cooking for you! Invite your friends and neighbors too!
